My big problem with the first live action movie was 1. The teacher character that took over Jackson’s character basically he was made more like the character of Dr Jekyll/ Mr Hyde from the book his character was VERY lossy based off of. I personally found Jackson and Holt to be relatively reliable and good rep as someone who struggles with a disorder that does effect my memory. 2. I had already viewed Clawdeen as being black in the original web episodes, I had thought expressly the ep focusing on Clawd and Draculaura’s relationship was using them being a vampire and a werewolf as using old folk lore as a way to focus on them being an inner racial couple. So I kinda seen this as her character being a little bit white washed. (Curious to know if anyone else had viewed it that way) 3. I just hate Lagunna’s redesign, I felt like she didn’t really fit in with the rest of the cast. Which was so weird to see because we had bright colorful characters like the fusions but they still looked like they fit in being part of the same world as the other characters. That being said their were also things I really liked but that list is a lot smaller. 1. I liked the addition of Franky having a prosaic leg, and them being none binary. Though I’m not disabled in a way that is visible like that, I imagine that people feel a lot of the same way I feel towards gen 1 Jackson towards that character and I think that’s cool. I also liked seeing them as a none binary character there aren’t a lot of characters that are none binary in media like that and it was cool to see as a trans person.
